Just over a week ago, our family arrived safely in Washington State after nearly a week’s travel up from Chihuahua. As John and Maria (Amy’s sister) Van Wormer are moving back Stateside from Mexico, we had the privilege of helping by bringing some of their belongings with us. It’s wonderful to be with our friends and family here once more, and see the myriad shades of green we miss when living in a desert! The travel went well – aside from one person having a sick day en route, it was overall an easy and enjoyable trip.
We have hit the ground running, and already enjoyed a few productive meetings with partners and our home church. Our summer schedule keeps being updated, and we hope to see many of you either on a Sunday morning or at one of our open houses! Other opportunities remain for us to come visit or share, so please reach out if you would like to see us while we’re around.
We have a new prayer card! Copies will be available at each of the churches we visit this summer, from the second half of June onward. Missions is the work of the Lord through the whole church body, not just people who go live in remote locations… we need prayer and encouragement as we support church planting among Mexico’s least reached people groups! Pick one up when able, or print a copy of this one… or, contact us and we will mail you one.
Your continued prayer for our work sharing updates and partnership needs this summer is greatly appreciated! This is our first real chance since 2018 to reconnect with our partners in person, and there is much to share – both about our journey with the Lord these past few years, and His faithfulness to us in life and ministry alike. Thank you for keeping up-to-date with what God is doing through us, and keeping us before the Lord as you pray!

Tim Brorson at church mentioned that you are going to be at Sylvan Way Baptist Church soon. I am really looking forward to seeing you again, and getting caught up. Can you tell me which Sunday you are going to be at Sylvan Way? Continuing to pray.

It will be great to see you again, Ron! Absolutely – our plan is to be at SWBC on July 9th. My understanding is that there will be some kind of meet-and-greet after the service, details TBD… so I will very much look forward to seeing you there!
