Quick Update: Western Washington

July 12, 2023 by Jordan Husband

Time with all of you Stateside this summer is going very well! Amy and I have been greatly encouraged to see so many of you – whether on Sunday morning at the churches we have visited, coming to your homes for an afternoon, or during our various open house events. We are grateful for the time and effort you have invested in seeing us, hearing about updates in ministry and life alike, asking really good questions, and enjoying this opportunity for fellowship.

As always, the summer is flying by. We are now in Western Washington, and our major remaining scheduled events will be held at Crossroads Bible Church in Bellevue, WA. If we have not yet been able to spend a little time together, we hope you’ll be able to come see us there on one of these remaining dates.

Many of you have now gotten copies of our new prayer card; if you missed getting one, more are being left at each of our partner churches when we arrive. Please let us know if copies run out, or you are otherwise unable to get one… we keep hearing testimonies this summer to how often they are used in prayer and encouragement, and we count it a privilege to ensure that everyone who would like a prayer card receives one.

Thank you for continuing to pray for God’s purposes to be fulfilled during our visit to Washington this summer. Our return to ministry in Mexico this fall grows ever nearer, and – while we fully enjoy this time the work of home assignment offers with friends and family – we also look forward to the next fruitful season of ministry the Lord is providing in Chihuahua. We look forward to keeping you posted on how God is working among the unreached peoples of Mexico as we return to His service in that context!

This summer, four families have already communicated a desire to join our partnership team! Adjustments to our pledge records put us at 72% of mission-recommended monthly support. As these and other new partners join us, we will update you on progress in this area.

Again, it was great to see you and your family recently at church and the time in the Youth lodge after the service. My offer still stands of dinner whenever you come back. Now you have it in writing. Blessings to you and your dear family.

…and I greatly look forward to taking you up on that, brother! What a blessing to have that time together. The Lord be with you, Ron, and bless you in your own ministry up north!

What a Blessing you are to so many people. I was again impressed to see how God is working through your lives even in troubling times. Your light is shining brightly, thanks for allowing us to be recipients of that Light!

Thanks, brother Ed – thank you for those kind words. May God continue to be glorified through us, and keep making Jesus more clearly seen through our lives.

It was really great to see you at Gram’s open house and to hear how your future is developing. No matter where you are…God’s mission to reach the unreached is being done through you for HIS GLORY.
