Conferences!

March 8, 2014 by Jordan Husband

Come hear missionary Dave Percy share at Peaceful Valley Church's missions conference, starting Friday March 14th!
As we continue preparing for moving to Mexico, Amy and I are excited to take part in a couple upcoming missions conferences! Our primary goal while in the States is missions education: we love sharing stories of the Gospel proclaimed, and God’s purpose in His missions plan for every church and believer! Missions conferences are an opportunity for all of us to see God at work in places we never personally visit, and for that reason I’ve loved attending since I was very young. Come on by, and hear how God is making His Name known in the world today!

Next Friday (March 14), Peaceful Valley Church will begin their three-day ‘One Life’ conference. New Tribes missionary Dave Percy is coming to speak, drawing from his experience as a church planter in Thailand and a missions educator at New Tribes’ Missionary Training Center. Friday night will kick off the weekend’s events with ‘Into the Buddhist Mind’ at 6:30 pm – a vivid window into Thai culture and the Buddhist worldview, which illustrates many of the challenges in cross-cultural ministry. Amy and I will have a unique roll in Saturday night’s events, but you’ll have to come to find out what we’re up to! Check out the PVC website for more information and a schedule, or call the church at 292-8584.

If you miss the PVC conference (or even if you don’t!), Mt. Spokane Church will host another missions conference in the month of May. There aren’t a ton of specifics available to share at this point, as far as specific dates and times are concerned. However, Amy and I are excited to share that Mt. Spokane has invited us to be their speakers! Stay tuned for more details, and please keep us in prayer as we prepare. Our desire is that God’s heart for a lost world be clearly displayed through this opportunity, and we can’t wait to see how He uses us to that end!
