It’s a beautiful Saturday morning after a week of unstable weather here in northern Mindanao. You have prayed and God is answering!
While the rain clouds were coming and going Lance was busy at his computer doing the rough draft translation of Exodus for our co-worker, Ron Jennings. After working on and off for over a year on Exodus, we had planned to finish it this past week; however, an interruption in the middle of the week changed all that.
When our translation helpers arrived Wednesday morning, we could tell that their minds were elsewhere. The church had invited believers from a village two hours hike away and 27 of them arrived for teaching and fellowship.
So, instead of “plowing” through mundane things like measurements and explanations of the Tabernacle, the translation helpers joined the teaching going on in the meeting house – which went on until past 2 in the morning! We’re sure that was much more encouraging to them than Exodus!
We praise the Lord for the growth we see in the church as they spend time ministering to one another in word and in deed.
Our language helpers and we are also praising the Lord for wisdom in accomplishing the task of finding all those difficult terms found in the book of Exodus. The visual aids that we’ve mentioned in the past have been a tremendous help.
The exactness of all God commanded in regards to the tabernacle show us that He is ‘exact’ in all He does. The Lord willing we will be done with our part in the translation process for Exodus the early part of this week.
Ron has asked Lance to start working through the Psalms so we would ask prayer for wisdom in doing that.
Thanks to each of you have such a vital part in this ministry through your prayers and giving.
Secure in Christ’s love,
Lance & Laura
