Thank you for praying for us over these past few weeks. We had safe travels, Lance had a follow up scan that his urologist requested to be sure his kidney is functioning properly; we had good times of fun and fellowship over Christmas and at our annual mission field conference. We feel refreshed and ready to return to our village home!
Please pray for good weather and safe flights for our coworkers and ourselves this week. There has been a lot of rain and even some serious flooding in parts of northern Mindanao this past week.
Over the past couple months Sona, one of the Higaunon church leaders, has been traveling to a number of the churches in the outreach areas. Before we left in December he said, "There are more people who would listen to God’s Word if only there were someone to teach them!" Please pray with us that God would raise up more faithful men to reach their own people group.
In early December Lance began to experience pain in his wrists. Since being out in the city he’s consulted a couple of doctors. He is now wearing a brace on his right wrist (and has another one for the left wrist should he need it) and has been told to stay off the computer for six weeks. Thankfully a couple of weeks have passed already. Pray with us for the healing in Lance’s wrists.
We can not express how grateful we are to the Lord for your partnership in our lives and the ministry to the Higaunon people. Thank you for praying and giving to see that the Higaunon have God’s Word in their language.
Secure in Christ,
Lance & Laura
