Greeting!
We trust this finds you doing well and encouraged in the Lord.
A week ago today we arrived in Portland and spent our 15 hour layover visiting Lance’s cousin. It had been 10 years since we saw her last. She’s going to be 78 this year but certainly doesn’t look it. We had some great conversation in the midst of fighting jet lag. Please pray for her as she considers the message we shared with her of all Christ accomplished FOR her at Calvary. She was raised to think she has to add to what Christ did in order to secure her eternal destiny.
A week ago tomorrow morning we arrived in Dallas. Robert picked us up and we spent time with Laura’s sister and her niece and children. Friday and Saturday we drove to western New York to see friends and family. Driving long distances and jet lag are a bit challenging but God undertook and we’ve been blessed to see friends along the way and make new friends.
There are two churches that have not seen us in six years so we’re going to be sharing a report with them; one this Sunday in Maine and the other on the 24th in Ohio. After that we will return home to Oklahoma, God willing.
Praise:
- Our translation assistant was diagnosed with a peptic ulcer and hemorrhoids. That’s a lot easier to treat than colon cancer which is what the doctors were suspecting. Thank you to those who have given towards his medical care!
- We arrived safely in US and God has undertaken to give us safe travel by road. (On a side note, we got to help out a young gal who was traveling alone. She had a flat tire in a rest area and was praising the Lord that He sent us along to help her.)
Please pray:
- Please pray for our co-worker, Ron. He will be having an angiogram tomorrow in Australia. (That’s tonight here in the US)
- For our travels to see partners in the Higaunon ministry; safety, health and that we’ll be a blessing to all we meet.
Secure in Christ’s love,
Lance & Laura
