Yes, we spent a week at McNeal, AZ our NTM Aviation headquarters. During this week in May we had meetings with our leadership team to debrief about our last term and discuss our future term as we plan to return in Papua New Guinea in January 2018. There was much to discuss as we had a stressful and difficult last term on the field. They are helping us put things into place and practice that will better safe guard Paul’s stress (and therefore health) levels. It was not all negative as we shared together the many things we had to praise the Lord for. HE provided, through donors, three Kodiak airplanes in about an eight month period of time, five new pilot families as well as following up with three new maintenance families. We (NTM Aviation) have been working towards this vision for some 8+ years and suddenly the Lord shows that in His timing and through His means, His work moves forward. It is for us to faithfully and humbly walk with Him, asking for His direction and patiently waiting for His timing. Sound familiar? That last part is usually the hardest.
Andrea enjoyed some good fellowship with various team wives. We were hosted for several meals which allowed us some wonderful food and relaxed personal fellowship (what I call, connection time).
Our kids explored the playground and some of the wild creatures of the McNeal dessert (namely snakes and bugs). They loved the random toys that we found in the wonderful guesthouse as and also in the “Mission Barrel”. Any MB is a huge excitement for our kids.
Thanks for praying!
Somebody Say “Road Trip”?
We finish up helping our home church with VBS the last week of June and then it is into the car for some 5,000+ miles. We will be heading west to Kansas and Colorado to see Paul’s folks and then supporters. We have been offered a week at Crested Butte, CO at a price we can’t refuse.
Then it’s down to the eastern plains of CO for a few weeks with family, friends and supporters. From there we head north to Cheyenne, WY to see Paul’s nieces and then through Nebraska to see more friends and supporters. We then plan to drop south back to Paul’s folks for a few weeks to touch base with supporting churches and individuals in that area.
We plan to leave KS in mid August to see supporters back east and south. We will head to Alabama and North Carolina. Finally heading back home to Maryland before September starts.
If any of these travels brings us close to your neighborhood, then we most likely have you on our schedule. If you would like to make sure and these rough dates fit your busy summer plans, please feel free to ask via email or call. Alabama and Nebraska are fairly new to our travel plans so you never know.
