FORT SÃO SEBASTIÃO
While on Mozambique Island we were able to visit Fort São Sebastião. It was built by the Portuguese starting in 1558.
CHAPEL OF NOSSA SENHORA DE BALUARTE
Part of the Fort São Sebastião complex is the Chapel of Nossa Senhora de Baluarte, the oldest European building in the Southern Hemisphere. It was built in 1522.
