We are saying good-bye!
„We are going back to our country,“ said Mimi the other day :). Yes, this year of home assignment already passed and it is time for us to pack up again and move back to our other home in PNG.
We are looking back on many wonderful moments, memories and events with family and friends. It was our privilege to share God’s work amongst the Dinangat and to challenge people for Missions at over 50 meetings in Germany. It was also very encouraging to hear from many people who shared how they have been praying for us and the Dinangat for many years.
During this year all 5 of us had some really good and some harder times. But over all it was a very good year and we can only testify how our Lord has always lovingly given us all that we needed. He is so good and faithful. To Him be all the glory! We’re so thankful about the fact that all 5 of us are excited to going back to PNG for we know that this is the place where He wants us and therefore there is no better place for us 🙂 !
For the coming school year we as a family will live on the NTM Mission Center in Goroka where the girls will go to school. When everything goes well we (Ralf, Elli and Mimi) will go back to live with the Dinangat after this coming school year. Until then Ralf and I will continue to work on the Dinangat translation of the New Testament while we live there on the NTM center. Ralf will try to visit Dinangat every 2 months or so with our co-worker Jeremiah (who also lives at the center with his family right now). We’ll miss our other co-workers, the Smiths, who just got back to the US for their year of home assignment.
Now on July 15th we will fly back to PNG for another 3 years. We will be very glad to reach „our country“ again after about 40 hours of traveling, mostly in the air. It will be so nice to see our coworkers the Markleys again and all our other NTM friends.
Please pray for all the good byes, for a good trip and for us as we’ll be settling into the life at the NTM Center.
For His Glory,
Ralf & Elli with Naomi, Rebekka and Mimi
