Why New Tribes?

March 25, 2013 by Regina Rodman

Through my time at New Tribes Bible Institute, I saw God’s heart to reach the nations through many verses in the New Testament.  2 Corinthians 10:16, is a special verse that has influenced one of the reasons I work with New Tribes.

Paul’s hearts desire is to see the believers he has invested in grow and help him reach the regions beyond, where Christ has not been named.  That’s where New Tribes Mission works – with the 2500 people groups who have not yet heard the gospel.  In places where other mission groups are not working yet (though there are some opportunities for teamwork in certain areas).

2 Corinthians 10:14-16 (NIV)

14 We are not going too far in our boasting, as would be the case if we had not come to you, for we did get as far as you with the gospel of Christ.15 Neither do we go beyond our limits by boasting of work done by others. Our hope is that, as your faith continues to grow, our sphere of activity among you will greatly expand, 16 so that we can preach the gospel in the regions beyond you. For we do not want to boast about work already done in someone else’s territory.

And I wanted to be a part of this, so I signed up with New Tribes!

I have a post in draft with an almost identical title. I’m saying something different though.
