What does it mean?

Agutaynens at the last meeting look at Ephesians 2:8 and John 3:16.

For the last 12 months, many Agutaynens in our village have attended the re-teach of Creation to Christ.  Most of these Agutaynens attended the Bible teaching in 2009 but chose to stay with their own traditions.  However, a few Agutaynens are hearing it for the first time.  This last Tuesday, May 29, Stephen taught the lesson of Jesus’ death on the cross and that salvation is by faith in Jesus alone.  We hope this simple truth is accepted by the Agutaynens.  Please pray for the next lesson which will be taught on Tuesday, June 5.  This lesson could be titled: “What does it Mean?”  In this lesson, we will discuss:

  1. What did Jesus mean when he said:  “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?”
  2. What does it mean by the temple curtain ripping?
  3. What did Jesus mean by saying:  “It is finished.”?
  4. And lastly, what did it mean when the Israelites placed their hand on the animal that was brought as a sacrifice?

Agutaynens for generations have known that Jesus died on the cross, but the true meaning has been lost.  What will they do with this knowledge?  Please pray with us that the Agutaynens will clearly see that God the Father punished His own Son for them and the Father is content with this payment.
