When her son was injured recently in an accident, an Agutaynen lady came to us for help in paying his medical bills. Our team gladly helped, though we did not know the full extent of his injuries or the cost he might incur. While the mother was grateful for our help, that is not the remarkable part of the story. When her son was released from the hospital, she told us more of the story.
As she was going around the village looking for financial help, one of the Agutaynen believers went to her and gave her some money. The amount wasn’t large, but it brought the mother to tears. She was amazed that this believer would show love by giving, even when the believer really didn’t have anything she could spare.
When she and her son returned to the village after he was released from the hospital, she asked us if we could have a Bible study in her home. She said she wanted what that believer and her son (who is also a believer) have. Praise the Lord for the love shown by that believer, and the open door that has resulted! This new Bible study will start this Friday.
