Praise the Lord! We can stay! The news arrived in a short email this morning from our office: “You were granted a two-year extension.” Simple words, yet they were God’s answer to the prayer that has been on our hearts and yours for many months. Thank you for your prayer!
During these months, we have been hesitant to make any long-term plans. We have continued with normal life, such as school, dentist appointments, teaching Bible studies, yet have been unable to plan for anything that would extend beyond 2012.
During a routine dental check-up in June, we were told that all of our children have some dental problems, varying from needing braces to having an under-bite. We have delayed beginning treatment for anyone until we knew where we would be for the duration of that treatment. Now that we know we can stay, we would like to proceed as soon as possible with getting an expander for Rebekah and possibly for Abigail as well. Good chance this will be followed by braces. Please pray with us for wisdom how to proceed, how many children to begin work on, and for the finances that will be needed for each. If God lays it upon your heart to give toward this need, or if you have any questions concerning the finances needed, please email us. We are thankful for our visa extension, and that it did not involve any increased cost in having to start over or return to the States. We are thankful for your prayer, and that we can continue to rest in the hands of our God Who cares.
