It has been our goal, as our girls get older, to have a special time each year for just Mom and daughters.
This year, we decided to have our girls’ day while we were in Manila, a few days after Abigail’s check-up.

Grandma Jordan had just returned to the country after a short furlough, so we decided to include her in our girls’ day also. Since Rebekah and Abigail are so different from each other, we wanted to do something that they each would like.

We started by going to the hair place, where Grandma had her hair done while the rest of us had our nails done. This was Abigail’s treat. She was surprised that it was only the second time in Mom’s life that I have had my nails done (the first time was before my wedding, years ago). After treating Abigail to her nails, we went to a used bookstore. This was Rebekah’s treat. She found several books for about a dollar each, so everyone was happy. Mom and Grandma enjoyed our girl time, and the girls each enjoyed a treat. We also shared some ice cream shakes, which even the girls both like.
We are thankful that Abigail’s doctor appointment went well, and her curves have even shown a bit of improvement. She is happy to still be brace-free. Thank you for praying for our trip to Manila, and rejoicing with us for the good doctor report.
