Luke in the water
From one day to the next, everything changed. Thursday was a beautiful sunny day here in the Philippines. And then Friday blew in with wind and rain as the super typhoon made landfall. If this storm was in the States, reporters say that it would have stretched from New York to Florida. Wind and rain poured down in our village, but no one was hurt. This storm was powerful but our God is almighty. The weather changed but our God didn’t.
Saturday, after the storm, we still experienced more rain. Our three youngest children enjoyed splashing and diving in the large puddles created by the torrential rains. Our thanks go to God for His protection and for all those in the States who were praying.
Today, the sun is once again out and a nice breeze is blowing through the palm branches. God hasn’t given us tomorrow yet; so today, let’s praise Him and proclaim His glories to all we see.
