In Memory Of

June 12, 2018 by Stephen and Ginger Jordan

This morning we received the news that Edmund, one of our church leaders, has passed away.  Cancer won over his body but not his soul.  We rest in the comfort that Edmund loved Jesus Christ and believed in Him as his Savior.

To us, Edmund was a friend, a brother in the Lord, and a co-worker for God’s glory.  We will greatly miss him.  Through his life and teaching, God used Edmund to lead many of his family to the Lord (his sister, brother-in-law and wife, and his daughter).

In 2014, I had the privilege of baptizing Edmund.  Three years later, Edmund helped me baptize his daughter and his sister.  What a joy that was for him.

Often when Edmund taught, he would share his favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 2:8, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.”

Please pray for Edmund’s wife, Imelda, and daughter, Estella.  In their loss of a husband and father, may they find peace that only can be found in their Heavenly Father.  Please also pray that the Agutaynen believers will stand for Jesus in the loss of this dear brother.
