Braced Again

June 4, 2018 by Stephen and Ginger Jordan

Abigail and Luke

One year ago, Abigail rejoiced in the news that she no longer needed to wear her night time brace for her scoliosis.  Twelve months later, Abigail is braced again.  However, this time her teeth are braced.  Last month, not only did Abigail get braces, but Luke did too.  However, things haven’t gone so well so far.  We have needed to make extra visits to the dentist because their brackets keep falling off.  Just this week Luke had two brackets fall off.  Usually the dentist is just a three-hour drive away.  But at this time, we are not even on the right island.  So, we have scheduled an appointment for Luke on the 13th.  In order to help them with the pain they endure, we are trying to change our diet to soft foods.  However, Luke still wants his meat.  We appreciate your prayers for them as they endure this pain, that hopefully their brackets will stay on and they don’t lose their smiles.
