What do you think of when you hear the words “Family Reunion”? You probably think of young and old gathering together in their hometown and fireworks at night (or maybe that is only in Hallmark movies).
Well, this past week, Ginger’s family had a family reunion in Papua New Guinea (PNG). All of us, along with Ginger’s parents Carl and Sue, and eldest brother Mike, traveled to PNG to be with her other brother David Watters with his wife Robin and youngest son Caleb. We enjoyed a week of visiting villages, seeing a waterfall, and just doing nothing. With the desire to do no work, we did not bring our computers and I, Stephen, was forbidden to even mention work.
This was a great experience, especially for our kids, to see another side of missions in a different country. Even though the language, culture, and climate of PNG is different from the Philippines, new believers are rejoicing in their Savior, just like those in the Philippines. Praise the Lord!
