With plane tickets now in hand, we are busy with packing . . . packing things to put into storage . . . and packing things to ship to the Philippines.
If you were leaving the USA, what would you leave here, and what would you want to take with you? If you knew what you couldn’t get overseas, would you ship it over?
At this moment, our basement is full of totes that will soon go back into storage here in the States.
On the other hand, our living room is full of totes with items to ship to the Philippines. We are packing craft supplies for Kids’ Bible Club, Christmas gifts for the villagers, and more Christmas gifts for students in the elementary school in the village. In planning ahead, we are shipping some food items for Thanksgiving, presents for special events, seasonal decorations for various celebrations and holidays, and school supplies for the boys. Of course, the boys wouldn’t be too disappointed if we forgot the school supplies. These boxes also have ministry equipment, Bible study books, and sound equipment for the church.
Do any of you receive those beautiful hand-written letters from Ginger? Ginger has planned her card designs for the next three years, purchased all the paper and has already done the prep work of cutting all the paper into the right size. We are shipping all this to the Philippines so she can send them back to you. This is how much we appreciate you!
What have we forgotten? What would you pack?
We greatly appreciate your prayers as we approach our soon departure from the States. Thank you!
