More Than Ever Before

July 15, 2024 by Stephen and Ginger Jordan

Within the next few days, we will be hosting the 7th Sports Bible Camp in our location.  “Sports,” basketball and volleyball, are the means that get teens to the camp where they will hear the Gospel according to the “Bible.”  This year the theme of the Gospel message is:  “Are You a Good Person?”

Over the last two weeks, 105 players have already registered for camp!  We will leave registration open and hope to get as many as 144 players.  In the past, we have only had 65 teens.  To be able to include 144 players, we have also opened this camp for the entire village and believers from our church have invited friends from the next village over the hill and through the rice fields.

Volleyball Registration
Basketball Registration

To help us host this 5-day camp, a team of 12 people is coming from the States.  This team will be exposed to the culture, language, climate, and main religion of the Philippines.  Along with sharing their testimonies, this team will be leading the music worship during camp and championship games.

The camp will end with two days of championship games (best of three games).  Everyone is invited to attend and cheer the teens on in their sports.  The Gospel will once again be presented during the championship through a Gospel skit and a clear message from one of our church leaders.  Hopefully, many families and neighbors from both villages will come to the championship games, hear the Gospel, and trust in Jesus alone for their salvation.

Please pray for God to use this event for His glory.  Please pray for the salvation of the teens and their families.  Please pray for the team coming over, for health, safety, and changed lives.
