Today is the twenty-fifth anniversary of our move to the Philippines. By God’s provision, we went to the Philippines. By God’s guidance, we went to the Agutaynens. By God’s protection, we survived sickness. By God’s strength, we learned the Agutaynen language. By God’s grace, Agutaynens were saved by faith in Jesus.

Ten years ago, our partners were getting ready to leave the ministry. At that time, as a team, we decided not to replace them with another missionary. Why? We wanted the Agutaynen believers to step up and to get involved in the ministry. So, after our partners left, we asked three Agutaynen men to join us as church leaders. Over the years, several Agutyanen women also stepped up and got involved in the Kids’ Bible Club and Ladies’ Bible Study.

Today, twenty-five years later, for God’s glory, Faith Bible Church is a self-governing, self-propagating, self-functioning church . . . with no missionaries. So, the answer to the question is, “No, there are no new missionaries filling our position in the Philippines.” God has raised up national believers to carry on the ministry of Faith Bible Church.

Praise the Lord as these believers continue to grow and serve the Lord together.
