Thank you so much for praying us through! It was the longest journey we have ever had (63 hours and 14,500 miles). But, mostly uneventful, thanks to your prayers. There were 33 people scheduled to fly with us on the final flight. Thankfully everyone made it except 1 couple. Their COVID results did not come back in time. Pray for them as they try and make arrangements to come next month.
Before I get too carried away, here’s a few things you can be praying for this week.
Prayer Requests
- Pray for rest and recovery from jet lag. Being in quarantine provides plenty of time for that, so we are thankful for that.
- Pray for wisdom as we sort our belongings in preparation for our move. Again, we are thankful to do quarantine in the house that our things are stored.
- Pray for the timing for our move. We were planning to move Friday (12th), but it has been declared a public holiday due to the passing of PNG former prime minister. So that may delay our travel plans. Pray we can get down there in order to have some overlap with the other couple that’s there. They leave on the 15th.
- Pray for the new missionaries as they will officially begin their language and culture study this week.
News
We are so thankful all our travels went smooth. As we met up with different ones along the way, we heard many stories of issues and challenges our different coworkers faced. It made us very thankful for our experience.
Our requirements for quarantine are quite strict. We can’t leave our yard. We have people buying our groceries and taking out our garbage, because we are not allowed to leave our house. But, we are thankful for the various ones who stop by to visit from a distance. We decided we need to put a chair under the tree at the bottom of our stairs so our visitors don’t have to stand the whole time they visit.
We have already been told that we are free from quarantine when we wake up on the 10th.
