Give Us the Tools!

Give Us the Tools!

April 14, 2015

“Give us the Tools… …and We Will Finish the Job!” Sir Winston Churchill spoke those inspiring words in 1941 when England was under severe attack and needed help to survive. He boldly told the world that his country was ready and willing to fight. They just needed the tools. That is much like the situation […]

Packing our bags… …Again. Yep, we’re headed to Manila next week for a forum on developing and providing training for Asian missionaries. This is exciting for us, as it is moving us toward our vision of seeing well-trained, effective communicators taking the Gospel to Unreached Peoples throughout Asia and all the world! Training many nations […]

What Would You Do?

What Would You Do?

February 5, 2015

View image | gettyimages.com What would you do… …if you found yourself in a remote village and had to learn the language? …if no one there spoke any English? …or they spoke no English at all? …if there were no CDs, books, teachers, schools or websites to help you? …there were no dictionaries or published explanations […]

Joy and Tears

August 27, 2014

Have you ever been so happy you cried? At a loss for words? The emotions were powerful at the dedication of the Palawano New Testament… We first met Abil when he was a scowling teenager. His father was our neighbor and Bill’s friend and language helper. Abil’s little sister Lini was our daugther Elisa’s best […]

The Palawanos Now Have God’s Word

July 27, 2014

The Palawano New Testament is done! In the hands of the people. Being read, studied and taught. Being memorized. Being listened to. Being shared with unbelievers. Changing lives. Even as we write these words, we can hardly believe it. Even though we were there, handing Bibles to the Palawanos, we can hardly believe it. After […]

And about 30 years later…. there it is! Over 100 volunteers helped us check about half the copies for defects last night (and we only found a few). More checking today… In hand. At last. Praise. Joy.

Why “Heart Languages”?

A person's Heart Language is the language they use to think and to most easily describe their feelings; a message in the heart language will have the deepest impact.

Even people who are skillfully multilingual have only one heart language.

We are committed to the belief that the most effective communication of the gospel and the most fruitful discipling ministry will be done in the heart language of the hearers.
