The end of our three-week trip to Seattle arrived more quickly than we could have imagined! Yet, as Amy and I look back on our time on the western side of Washington, we see God’s hand at work to encourage us, and to bless others through our time together. We are very thankful for how He multiplied the time we had, and used it fully for His glory.
One major answer to prayer this past week came through our schedule: a calendar filled with appointments! As our family prepared for this time in Seattle, a request we frequently brought to the Lord was that He would provide several opportunities for us to share the vision He has given us: to see one more language group in Mexico hear of Jesus Christ for the first time. And in this past week alone, we had six such meetings. Praise God!
During this trip we also enjoyed fellowship with many of our partners in the Seattle area. Catching up with so many friends and family members that we’ve not seen for a long time was a wonderful privilege… and for the first time in several years, I even got to celebrate my birthday with much of my extended family in person. That has been an integral part of our family culture through the years, and we treasured the opportunity to take that time together.
As we return to Spokane we are excited to see how God is building our team of partners, and working through us where He has us here today. God is changing us – preparing us to walk with Him through situations we cannot yet truly understand, and to share the hope He embodies among people whose ways and speech we do not yet know. Please pray with us for God to continue to accomplish His purposes through us here and now… not just in the years to come!
