Acceleration

In last week’s post, we shared that God had brought our partnership team up to 60% of our recommended field budget. While there is still some way to go, we have come very close to official permission to make travel plans! Beyond that, we also saw God removing several imposing obstacles: simplifying the logistics of moving, storage, and equipment replacement. That made for a very exciting week!

Turns out, that was just scratching the surface of what God is doing. This week, we learned that there is another missionary family which is almost ready for service in Mexico. In order to make our arrivals easier on NTM-Mexico, they are hoping we can come near to the same time… in other words, sometime around the months of April or May.

While our departure is still very non-specific, it seems quite possible at this point that we will be in Mexico before July 1st. The next few weeks will shed a lot of light on our timetable, and we are resolved to work hard and ‘prepare for rain’. A lot still needs to happen, but if this truly is God pressing down on the accelerator? Buckle up, because it’s only going to keep coming!

Will you please pray with us as we wait on God to make the next steps in this journey clear?

• Pray that we will wait patiently on His timing, rather than pushing forward on our own!
• Ask Him to provide all of the financial resources our team will need – both the 75% of our monthly budget needed that we might leave on schedule, and the 100% we believe is necessary to the work He has given us.
• Please pray for strength, wisdom, and endurance as we continue working hard: both on the logistics of moving to Mexico, and in sharing the hope we have for seeing a church planted among Mexico’s unreached.
• Finally, ask God to continue clarifying this situation… and that we will be looking to Him, rather than to the circumstances around us.
