So much for which to be thankful.

November 15, 2021 by Lance and Laura Ostman

We found a quiet place to rest.

I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all … Romans 1:8

Thank you: The American Thanksgiving holiday is just around the corner! Where did this year go? Time is flying by so quickly and we don’t want to neglect to take the time to share with you some things for which we are thankful. First and foremost, we are thankful for YOU; for your partnership with us. Please click here to view a short video from us. (We promise it’s short – it’s less than a minute.)

We enjoyed looking at the night sky during our vacation.

Green pastures and still waters: Thank you for praying for the vacation we referred to in our last update. We had been looking for a place of solitude and we found that very thing; a cabin just north of Oklahoma City where we enjoyed some much needed rest! The hostess was from the Philippines and fed us delicious Filipino food which of course made us homesick. While there Lance enjoyed fishing and we especially enjoyed attending a church that Sunday morning where no one knew us. We also enjoyed looking at the night sky with no light pollution.

Missions Exposure: Finally, we are thankful for this past Saturday (November 13th). We enjoyed attending an event in Decatur, Texas put on by Ethnos360 Aviation. Their purpose was to expose people to missions and especially mission aviation. They showed a video that we identify with; would we rather spend hours or days getting to our location, or minutes? (Click here to view a video from Ethnos360Aviation) Five people came with us from our church in Oklahoma. It was fun to show them just a glimpse of what we experience when we are in the Philippines, flying in and out of our village.

  • Getting off the helicopter.
  • We enjoyed seeing the Daltons; coworkers with us in the Philippines.
  • We were privileged to have five people with us from our church.

So there you have it. So much for which to be thankful; especially for your partnership with us so we can do what we do.

Secure in Christ’s love,

Lance & Laura
