Growing hurts sometimes and becoming more mature is not always easy. We all make mistakes and hopefully we can keep on going and learning more.
” …we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ…” Eph.4,15
Oh, how hard can it get sometimes to grow and to mature and to become more and more like Christ. Don’t we all know that? The Dinangat church is feeling the pain of growth these days. The Bible teachers are tired and are neglecting their responsibilities. The Monday meetings are often very small. Some of the Bible teachers struggle in their marriages. Many in the church do. In the neighboring village church are several struggling marriages. It takes a lot to be humble and to apologize to the other and to forgive.
In the last Monday meeting all those struggles were on the agenda. The Bible teachers (see picture, the 4 Bible teachers from the left: Jaspa, Felix, Lukas and Ema) are seeing the problems and want to change so badly. They want themselves to grow and the church as well.
Jaspa talked with Ralf later about the Dinangat churches and wants to pass on the following prayer request to you all: “We from the Dinangat church have learned so much from the Bible and yet we are not living by what we know. Often we act as if we were not even Christians. Please PRAY that God would change us and that we would become more and more like Christ. Please also PRAY for us Bible teachers that we would know how to best help the church to live according to God’s Word. Thank you!”
Thank you all for your prayers for the last translation check in February. It went really well! After a few corrections we will be able to print First Corinthians and First Timothy.
We also had a wonderful time with our girls while out in town. Saying good bye was hard again but thankfully we will have them with us for the Easter break and are very much looking forward to that. Also Markleys, our co-workers will be with us here in Dinangat for that time… can’t wait, like old times!
Thank you so much for your prayers for us and the Dinangat church!
“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” Phil.1,6
