“Two“ seems to be the number that describes us these days…
TWO elders
The Lord answered our prayers, guided and gave wisdom. After many prayers and thoughts and talks, the Lord directed us to appoint TWO of our four Bible Teachers as elders. During a special service last Sunday, we made it official. As you can imagine we are all very excited to have reached this point in the Dinangat work – and we know that it is all by God’s grace that we have come so far! Many of you have been praying for the Dinangat church from the beginning, and God has answered, and God has done a lot! Thank you so much for your prayers! Please continue to pray for Lukas and Felix and their wives: for wisdom, joy, patience and protection as they embark on this new journey as elders for the Dinangat church!
TWO + 3 = we are complete as a family again
Since the beginning of June we have been a complete family again! Our TWO older daughters, Naomi and Rebekka, finished their 11th and 9th grade years and are back with us in Dinangat. We are so thankful that for this coming school year we will stay together as a family. We are moving to Goroka for Naomi’s senior year before she returns to Germany in July 2017. In Goroka, all three girls will go to school while I (Ralf) will keep working full time on the Dinangat Bible Translation, and Elli will keep working on it half-days.
TWO visitors for TWO weeks
For almost TWO years we haven’t seen those TWO precious grandparents (Elli’s parents). In just a couple of weeks they will come to our side of the globe, and we will meet up in the North of Australia for a TWO-week vacation together. We are very, very excited about this!
TWO coworker families
There are also some changes that will take place for our TWO coworker families. The Smiths will move to the NTM Center in Goroka in order to take over the dorm parent ministry. Markleys are returning from their year of home assignment in the US and will move back into Dinangat. This time, though, their TWO older boys will stay in Goroka and live in the dorm with the Smiths to be able to attend school there. We would appreciate your prayers for them as they face those big changes ahead.
We thank you all for your faithfulness! Thank you for your prayers and for your financial support which make it possible for us to serve here in PNG. We so appreciate your part in this precious ministry God allows us to be a part of!
