By a river side

August 2, 2021 by Stephen and Ginger Jordan

Our hearts are rejoicing to hear news from the Philippines!  Two weeks ago, a new evangelistic outreach started . . . in Riverside, a neighborhood in the village.

This is exciting news for many reasons.  For one, this might be the result of Kids’ Bible Club in the home last year, and secondly, Riverside is an area that seemed closed to the Gospel a few years ago. But now, we are seeing more and more open doors in this neighborhood.  For example, two girls from this neighborhood were baptized last April.

Praise the Lord with us for what God is doing in Riverside.  Please pray for the leaders of our church who are teaching this new Bible study every Sunday evening.  And please pray that the attendees will be faithful to attend to the end, maybe in about six months.  Often there is an excitement in the beginning, but many fall away within the first few weeks.  And please pray ultimately that more will come to know Jesus as their Savior.
