“This is not a vacation in Florida,” is a comment a former chaplain of the Homes of Ethnos360 said to us concerning our new ministry as chaplain.
While other missionaries assist with the physical needs of the retired missionaries at the Homes, our sole role is to care for the spiritual needs of the retired missionaries, along with their families (especially during memorial services), the volunteers, and the staff of the Homes.

Some of our responsibilities will include:
- On call 24/7 to be with the retired missionaries in their hour of need
- Visitation
- Organize and officiate three chapels a week
- Write daily relevant devotions to encourage them in their daily walk
- Organize and distribute daily prayer lists
- Organize and officiate memorial services
- Chair and oversee two groups, Member Care and the Deacons Team
That is a glimpse of some of our responsibilities as chaplain.
One reason why we accepted this position at the Homes is the fact that we, Stephen and Ginger, will be working together. Some of the responsibilities of the chaplain will be shared, other responsibilities might fall more on one of us. However, we will have the same goal, to encourage and provide the spiritual needs of each person and their families.
Thank you for your prayer and partnership.
