As the holiday season draws to a close and most people’s excitement winds down, our lives are just about to pick up some speed. This Friday, January 1st, we are kicking off the new year by setting sail on our first ever month long partnership development road trip!
Before I tell you about our road trip, just a recap of the last month: Beth & I have been incredibly busy ever since Thanksgiving. I just finished up a 10-week Adult Bible Fellowship (Sunday School) class on the book of Judges that has taken up a good amount of time each week, and Beth has been diligently sending out our newsletter, new prayer cards, brochures and ministry portfolios. Great news! We have been given the green light to go ahead and resume our support raising endeavors for our future work in the South Pacific. We are right in the middle of the paperwork process of transitioning to the new field, and are excited to have an official direction once again. Its been a great couple of months to serve in our home church and to gain a fresh perspective & renewed vision for the work ahead of us.
Currently, we are making plans for a partnership development road trip this January. Lord willing this trip will allow us to connect with some new churches and individuals. In the meantime, Beth has done a fantastic job updating our...
So far it has been about two months since we first heard about Cambodia becoming a closed door for our family. The Lord has taught us a great deal over this time and we are excited to have officially applied to a new field. Right now we are working on some paperwork and Beth has been working hard at updating our prayer card, brochure, portfolio and business card. Hopefully you will see them soon when we are given the green light to resume full time support raising!
In the meantime, however, during this transition we have been heavily involved in our sending church. We believe that whenever we are home, one of our main jobs is serving our home...
Hey everyone, sorry about the confusion over our website. Before this whole Cambodia thing went down, we had decided to play it safe by taking the website off for the time being. Hopefully we'll be able to keep this one running.
One of things thats been difficult is to understand how our web presence can affect the work we're doing overseas. Its a complex issue and there are no easy answers. For the time being, though, we have decided to keep it going.
