June Praises

June 24, 2014

Psalm 50:15, “Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me;” or another translation states: Trust me in your times of trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory.” Thank you for praying for us! We have had an exciting week. We have […]

Grace

June 5, 2014

2 Corinthians 9:8, “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.” While we are on our home assignment, we often hear from people: “I could never be a missionary!” But then after talking with them […]

Answers to Prayer!

May 7, 2014

Psalm 23:1 “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Ps. 23 was in my daily reading last night and it struck me that “I have everything I need.” (Ps.23:1 in NLT) When I wrote last month, we had collected about $3000 in our outgoing expenses the whole year. Outgoing expenses includes tickets, vehicle […]

My God shall supply

April 4, 2014

Phil. 4:19, “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” We all know this is true, but sometimes our situation clouds our thinking. For example, it is easier to trust God when you have a healthy savings and pay role; but when both are small and […]

CHRISTMAS, CHAPELS, AND MORE

February 18, 2014

Christmas came and went way too quickly, but we thoroughly enjoyed our time with friends and family, especially with our adult children. Ben and Jessica were able to spend eight days with us, and our college-aged kids were with us for 24 days; we can’t express how thankful we are for those days. Plus our […]

Spicers’ Goals

October 4, 2013

Our home assignment is flying by, as we have been in the US for three months already. In our last letter we mentioned that we purchased a minivan and were looking at houses. After much prayer and asking advice, we are excited to say that we purchased a beautiful home near Wichita, KS. We are […]

In the US

July 24, 2013

We have been in the US for about 5 weeks now. It has been great to see family again and to reconnect with friends. Our first week was a whirlwind. I went to a Faith Academy reunion in Texas a few days after landing in Kansas. It was so good to see friends I had […]

Finishing Strong

May 23, 2013

It has been a great four-year term and another great year. The end of school is in site. The month of May is packed with several events on every weekend, and many other nights have something happening. The Middle School Arts Festival is tomorrow; Abby will be playing in the band. Cheryl, as a senior […]

March Happenings

April 5, 2013

We were hoping that the pace in March would slow down some, but the busy pace continued. When Walter returned from the basketball tournament, he prepared and taught two sessions to 21 staff at Faith Academy that are working on their Biblical Philosophy of Christian Education. Walter had not done this before, so it was stretching, […]

February at Faith Academy

March 17, 2013

February is past now and we are coming to the end of another quarter in one week. February was a busy month for us. The first week of February was the middle school week of Outdoor Education. We took the entire middle school plus several squads from outside schools to focus on World War II […]
